“Buon appetito” from Unterwirt

We have placed great importance on the cuisine in our house for generations. Franz Tauber was one of the first wine waiters in Alto Adige. He transmitted his passion for fine cuisine and precious wines to the whole family, which became one of Unterwirt’s strengths.

The menu varies from season to season. We regularly have culinary weeks based on various themes: first courses, fish specialities or the cuisine of the Valle Isarco.

Autumn is the season of chestnut feasts and novello wine. The special chestnut weeks are a culinary highlight in autumn (end of October) along with the chestnut gala evening in late autumn.

Our chef Marco Perez, who has international experience gained in London, Dehli and Monaco, chooses the raw materials with great care, always using fresh, top quality produce to prepare menus which are always different, together with his team. Thanks to his many years of training abroad, he can offer cuisine that mixes the characteristics of the Sud Tyrol with Eastern and Western techniques, creating specialities which will surprise you.
