The variety we have to offer, as well as the clear, straightforward structure of the complete ski area, is unique and therefore offers optimal conditions for an unforgettable holiday.
the winter sports area around the “Gitsch”, as this well-shaped mountain is called by the locals, is located at the ideal altitude of between 1,400 and 2,500 metres above Meransen. With the help of modern snow-making facilities, all ski and snowboarding enthusiasts have access to the best pistes from the beginning of December to Easter. There are two small T-bar lifts directly in the local area with a practice slope that offers the best place for kids and beginners to start. You can reach Gitschberg in approx. 15 minutes with the “Nesselbahn” cabin lift. Gitschberg itself offers wide easily visible pistes. The ski area offers experts as well as beginners any amount of pleasure on the pistes. Except for the black ski run “Sergerwiese”, the Gitschberg is very family-friendly. On the Gitschberg you will find 21km of snow-assured pistes (2km difficult, 10km intermediate and 9km easy) with 2 cabin circulating lifts, 2 four-seater chair lifts and 4 ski lifts.
the Dolomite Mountains of Langkofel, Schlern, Cir and Sella shape the setting of the greater ski area of Gröden/Seiser Alm with 84 lift facilities and 176km of pistes altogether. The villages of St. Ulrich, St. Christina and Wolkenstein, with their partly spectacular ski areas, form your introduction to these impressive mountains. In recent years, the pistes have formed such a network that skiers can reach all parts of Gröden and the Seiser Alm on skis. The WM-Pisten Saslong, Cir, Tre, Seceda and Mont Seura take centre stage for skiers and snowboarders. The ski area Gröden/Seiser Alm has more than 175km of ski pistes available that, together with the valley areas around the Sellastock of Alta Badia, Arabba/Marmolada and Fassatal, form a unique connected ski area of 500km of pistes. The new circular lifts of Seis (Kastelruth, Völs) and St. Ulrich and the renovation of the facilities on the Seiser Alm have created improvements for the family ski area Seiser Alm and offer enjoyable downhill skiing and homely stopovers in mountain huts. The "Skitour Gröden WM '70" and "Skitour Hexen" in the region of the Seiser Alm have developed into real crowd-pullers.
